The first time I sat behind a computer was at a friends home when I was in the 6th grade. His fathers computer had a 9 or 10 inch monitor, and stored information on a cassette drive. But in 1982 it wasn't everyday you could find a computer in someone's home. I was fascinated by their computer and found a reason everyday it seemed to get him to power up his dad's pc to play games on it or just to see it work. I was amazed by what this system would allow him to do, even way back then. Eventually we were stricken from his pc after we fought over who was going to do what on it. (hehe)
The next time I sat behind a pc was in a 7th grade library class, the "Apple IIe". This was also the first time I had a hand in designing a computer generated graphic. We designed a huge smilie face using large yellow pixels. The programming script to draw the face was very lengthy and took us nearly 2 days of class to complete the image. I was hooked!!
Over the next several years I would draw landscapes and animals on paper, imagining what they would appear like as electronic art. But because I didn't own my own PC till 1999, I always experimented with computer graphics at work using such programs as Paintbrush. "Aww the memories..." As you can tell, I've always had the ambition to be creative, specifically working with and designing computer generated graphics. Developing and designing websites allows me to do just that for a large audience, and that is one of many reasons why I choose to pursue web and graphic design. With the release of Microsoft Web Expression, Macromedia Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks and other software we now have a broader range of creativity using new and revamped applications that we can apply to our custom made websites. Designing has never been so exciting than it is today.
Now at ThemeKings I also found a way to not only be creative, but to also provide services to those in need of a well constructed website. I'm here to listen to your design needs, and turn those idea's into reality without busting the bank. Each project is different in every aspect so putting a "package price" on such designs is unrealistic. Your project begins with an email or phone call to gather your ideas to determine a timeline with seeing your site live.
